I am a shy gal who is always pai seh about everything even on minor issues BUT I suggested to take grad pictures with my dear gals at esplanade. I thought I was so brave until I reached esplanade and was about to change into my gown. Everyone was like looking at us. Ofc I felt uneasy. But luckily we are not the only graduates taking pics at esplanade.

Soon I got used to the stare and we were all having fun time posing, acting cute and my jaws were numbed for smiling non stop.

Too engrossed in making funny stupid pose and trying to be inspirational. Haha.

Hope that my achievements in my future career can soar as high as my hat in the sky. Yuppie.

Time flies. 3 months have passed.
I have started my job search in late june and have gone for 2 interview so far.
I finally had the first taste of a REAL interview.
It was stressed, just the manager and me surrounded by four walls, and most of the time I was tongue tied.
When a question is shoot to me, I paused for a very long time before I can think of what to answer.
At that crucial moment, there are only two choices.
Do it or die.
The end of every interview session is demoralising.
I blamed myself for being too honest to the employer.

The first interview with Hitachi was a disaster.
I have short term memory.
I couldnt recall what I did for my fyp.
What an embarrassing moment!
I wish there was a hole to bury my head.
At the end of the interview session with the hr, I realised that I applied for the wrong industry.
HitachiGST is a hard disk drive industry and I am looking for semiconductor industry.
While waiting for the senior engineer to interview me, I feel like leaving the room.
But I didnt in the end.
I was glad that the senior engineer was a friendly guy.
We chatted and I got to know more about hard disk drive.
But...he asked me about my fyp. again?!
Arghhhh. There is no way I can smoke through.
I just told him that I cant rem...He laughed.
What a bad impression I had left for the employer!

The second interview is SSMC.
This time I applied for the right industry.
SSMC is a company that I am dying to work in.
Its a BIG company with GOOD prospects.
The moment I stepped into its building the feeling is totally different from that of Hitachi.
I will be damn proud of my company if I have a chance to work there.
The engineer that interviewed me tried to make the session less stressful and formal.
He asked me alot of irrelevant qns and we even talked about my taiwan trip.
He din ask me about my fyp.
But this time round, I am more stressed.
I thought the first interview is already a good practise so I din prepare much for the 2nd interview except for reading up the company's website.
*Mistakes that have failed me*
I paused for a very long time when a qns is asked
Talked crap that I dun even know what I am saying.
Tongue-tied. kou chi.
Used broken english.
Overall, its horrible. I know I fare badly for the interview.
Gone. Gone. Gone.
My chance of working in SSMC has gone with the wind.

I know I am too pessimistic.
And yes I am!
I rcv a call this morning and it was from SSMC!!!
I was asked to go down for a second interview with the department manager.
Cool. I thought my first round gone case already.
This time round I MUST succeed.
